Jodi has professional working experience with many aspects of the fashion, clothing design, and photography businesses. Even more than her competence as a professional, Jodi's career has been distinctive in the way that she has always stayed the humble, hard working, kind, and helpful person she started out as. Many people don't know that Jodi has worked in the fashion and entertainment business since she was a teenager. As a beauty pageant winner and model she got her start winning several key competitions.
From there she went into acting; getting many walk on roles in shows in the early 90's like Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Chicago Hope, as well as many other mainstream shows.
As Jodi was establishing herself as a runway photographer, she worked in the creative and marketing department of Nautica. In addition to her daily responsibilities at Nautica working with the marketing, creative, design, and PR departments, she was the photographer for special events, corporate portraits, and runway shows. She was also part of the team that coordinated and presented runway shows and presentations in addition to being the liaison to the celebrities who were part of these events.
Over the years, many of the makeup, hair, and fashion stylists that have worked with Jodi have blossomed into very successful careers, or successfully made transitions into different areas after 'retuning' their portfolio with Jodi. Her original pictures and modeling of professional standards, combined with the hard work, determination, and perseverance of the kind of people Jodi likes to work with have helped many to establish themselves in the areas that they were striving for.
Jodi's has been training assistants and interns for years in the many photographic areas that are necessary to work in photography. From international interns who travel to work with Jodi to learn about the New York market, students who receive college credit for working with her, to people who just want to know if they have what it takes to work as a member of the fashion and photography business.
